smile

II was inspired by Amy R on youtube with one of her cards. This is pretty much the same card but I took a take at it. Here's the link to her video  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EDoU_agUxT8.

I used the smile from I set of wood block stamps from Hobby Lobby.  I stamped in Spun Sugar Distress Ink and used the Loew Cornell Simply Art watercolor to color over it. I then loaded up my brush with a lot of paint and splattered it on the inside and out of the card.

I used the Stampabilities Some People Grin stamp in Archival Ink. The image is a little blurry but it says SOME PEOPLE GRIN AND BEAR IT others smile and change it 

Here's the scoop...

I made this card for the Simpm Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Let's Be Clear.

First,I stamped the icecream come from the Fiskars The Sweet Lofe stamp set in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder on vellum. Then I used an assortment of alcohol markers to color the front and back of the vellum to get a vibrant image. I cut then out and sew thread threw the top of them. After that I cut a 3x4 hole from cardstock and colored it pink with a marker.

Then I embossed the greeting with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder. I used the dotted border from Fiskars All Year Cheer as a continuation from scoop. I messed up the embossing on the corner but, we all make mistakes :D

I repeatedly stamped the icecream with Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment ink and dusted some pink chalk pastels over it. I like the idea of doing this but, the result wasn't that great. Maybe next time I'll just use a light colored ink pad to stamp in.

You're Berry Sweet

I made this card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday blog challenge. This weeks challenge was Let's be Clear. You add to use a clear element in you project. I used vellum for this card. I was inspired by a video Jenmifer McGuire did with coloring on vellum.http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rdhT_wBOCRs

 I stamped the strawberry from Fiskars Berry Sweet stamp set in Versamark on vellum then white heat embossed. After that, I colored on the back with an array of alcohol markers and the embossing on the front. Then I sewed strings of white thread threw the stems. I put them on white cardstock with a 3x4 whole in the center.

After that I used a stamp set from Pebbles in Memento Tuxedo Black. Yeah... if I was thinking I would have stamped first but, this was an afterthought. It's a small flower stamp that I stamped repeatedly. I stamped the sentiment in the set that says... You're berry Sweet! In the same ink. I went over it with Sakura clear glaze and clear glitter pens to give it a little sparkle and shine. I colored some photo paper black with an alcohol marker to make the matting a little different. I adhered the front with foam tape so it pops.

For the inside of the card, I used the same stamp and stamped it in Hero Arts Soft Granite ink.

PARTY!

For this card I used Mama Elephant stamps Good Times and We Click. I stamped the balloons in Hero Arts ink and the frame in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used glass beads for the inside of the shaker and mounted with foam tape.  (Btw if any of y ' all have a good adhesive for plastic that doesn't come off, comment below) Finally for the greeting I used Thickers and spelled out PARTY!

Watercolor Cupcake

For this card I used my background from the Work in progress post. I colored in an Inkadinkado cupcake stamp with the Loew Cornell Simply Art watercolors. I used small glass beads and a paisley punch for the inside of this shaker card. I then mounted it using foam tape. ( btw, if any of you have a good adhesive the doesn't come of of plastic leave it in the comments) For the inside I stamped in the same colors of distress ink and the same stamp and added a sentiment in archival ink.

Hemmed pants share

So, I recently got these jeans that were way to big and decided to trim them. For the lighter wash I used Crafter's Pick Fabric Glue to cut and put the excess on the inside. And for the darker wash I found a tutorial on how to keep the original hem and I followed. It may look a little sloppy because I hand sewed it and by all means am not a professional.

Hobby Lobby Haul

From this haul I got a Canon 50lb 100 sheet sketch pad for... $2.87! I also got the Crafter's Pick Fabric Glue Distress ink in Mustard Seed and Seedless Preserves.

Joann Fabrics Haul

From this haul I got the Fiskars 6×8 (I think) stamp press. Loew Cornell Simply Art 36 watercolor cakes. Finally, I got the elegant writers from Speedball

Final Simon entry for this week

For this final entry I used Stampendous Soda Fizz in Memento tuxedo black and colored it with prismacolor pencils. I used paper from Crate Paper part day 6×6 paper pad. In the inside,  I stamped an Inkadinkado sentiment and used Versa Magic in magnolia bud to stamp it again.

For this second card I used Stampendous Want...Candy...Now! Stamp. I stamped is Memento tuxedo black and colored with prismacolor pencils. I stamped the Laughter is from Stampendous on the inside along with the image in Tim Holtz spun sugar. I used Crate Paper 6×6 paper pad party day to mat my image

Simon says stamp entry #2

These next three posts will be for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.  By the way, these next few posts were taken at night so the lighting is pretty bad. But, hope you enjoy.

For this first card I used Stampendous Up, Up and Away stamp in Memento tuxedo black. Then, I colored it in with prismacolor colored pencils. I used Crate Paper 6×6 paper pad party day to mat it.  I stamped it again on the inside with Hero Arts mint julep ink and stamp a Hampton Art sentiment.
